Born at The City of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, California, Travis's family moved to Glendora, California in 1976. He attended Charter Oak High School in Covina.Travis served his country in the United States Marine Corp, spending 4 years training with Golf Co. 2/23 4th Marine Division. It was there he became an Expert at shooting the M16, an M249 Saw Gunner, and took Sniper Courses with STA Special Ops, on Hawaii's South Shore. Travis received an Honorable Discharge in 1998.Travis attended Citrus College in Glendora, CA, majoring in Criminal Law. It wasn't until his move to Fullerton in 1998 to attend Cal State that he discovered acting (at the age of 24.)Travis landed his first lead role in the short film The Fix (2005), playing opposite Robert Patrick, as a speed addicted boxer. 2005 was a career-building year for Travis. He had the opportunity to work with 2 Oscar winning directors Steven Spielberg, and Sam Mendes on War of the Worlds (2005) & Jarhead (2005).In 2008, Travis completed work on the NBC series "Cold Case" (2003) and his first starring role in the much anticipated cult thriller Pig Hunt (2008), with Les Claypool, as the villainous character, The Preacher.2009 is lining up to be a break out year for Travis. Earlier in the year Travis got the opportunity to work with Kyra Sedgwick on the hit series "The Closer" (2005) for the shows season finale' as well as Top 10 show _ "Criminal Minds" (2004) where audiences will get to see a much darker side of of the actor. He has also landed roles in the drama The Bad Penny (2009) directed by Todd Bellanca & the horror film Wreckage (2009) with Aaron Paul and Cameron RichardsonBeyond working as an actor, Travis works with Jon Biel and his non-profit organization Making the Difference Network (MTDN). Travis donates a percentage of his paycheck to a different charity pending on the characters he plays.Travis also began working on a foundation to help children recover from cancer. The foundation Promising Tomorrow Now (PTN) will focus on helping children rehabilitate from chemotherapy and radiation by raising money through corporate sponsors and celebrities who continue to be overwhelmed with gifts that can be donated or auctioned off at different events. The money raised will help build a rehabilitation wing for children at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Utah.Travis discovered his passion in philanthropy while attending the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

He had to be on set 2 days later to act in his next film Jekyll (2007).Read for a lead role in Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down (2001) but lost out to Brian Van Holt.His great-grandfather had to change his name from Wade Williams to William Wade when he moved from Boston to California, because of an altercation he started with the infamous Frank Nitti.Read for a lead role on "Dawson's Creek" but lost out to Michael Pitt.Was engaged to model/actress Jasmine Dustin from (May 2005-May 2008).Read at the table read for the role of Troy in Sam Mendes's military drama Jarhead (2005) but lost out when 'Peter Sarsgard' took the offer.Travis is also Inventor who spent a year away from acting to form the company Sin Cera.
